It never ends

I told you things aren’t slowing down after Trac season this year.

I just updated my deadline list. I currently have 26 projects (tax returns, elections, etc.) to do by the fall, and that’s not including recurring work like bookkeeping or payroll.

I expect to hire my colleague at STC permanently. She’ll try the highly incentivized, high-paying system I’ve developed. I’ve been compensating myself with it for years. I just haven’t used it for any non equity holders.

It’s very unique. Eventually, I need to figure out how to get this stuff out of an Excel spreadsheet that goes to column AK. I know how to do it, in theory, but lack the technical skill (because I haven’t had time to research it) and the chronological follow-through (the time to actually do it, but I think I invented a new phrase).

J out – I have to work in a while!

Lasting Strawberries

I love strawberries and buy one pack every week.

Maybe I’m the only one who has this problem, but sometimes I’m not able to eat them before they go bad. I try to eat them within a week, but when I’m really busy, they just sit, and sit, and sit. Then they turn fuzzy and throw them out.

I’ve figured it out!

Usually I just leave them in my fridge in their package. The problem with that is that I can’t just spontaneously eat strawberries:
I have to wash them, put them in a bowl, sometimes cut their tops off. It just takes too much time!

strawberries

If I get in a pattern, I can cut off their stems and cut them in half in about 2 seconds per strawberry. That means I only need about two minutes to process a pound of strawberries. I put them into a container that goes into my fridge.

Then, I can go for a run, and have a strawberries. Strawberries go perfect with a chocolate protein shake. I can have strawberries anytime!

So I guess the real trick to make strawberries last long enough to eat them is to eat them before they go bad! Magic!

Super Excited

I’m super excited about this summer! It marks the first time when I’ll have steady enough income to be comfortable enough to do some home projects!

I already have big plans to add a bathroom and my landscaping ideas are unique and awesome! Influenced by my trip to Germany, no doubt.

Yay!

Meetups this summer

I did my first mertup last night. It was very successful. I didn’t post what I would be wearing or how to find us. Oops.

Last summer I made one to two events per week. I don’t think I’ll do that this summer, mostly because work and business are both busy, pretty much always, but also because I’m enjoying hanging out with non-meetup friends. I need more if those, though.

Maybe I’ll delegate things. Idk – time will tell.
